About

An experienced and insightful photographer of people and places, Amanda Harman has worked on commissions and projects for galleries, museums, charities and private clients since graduating from Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 1985 with a first class degree. Her work has been exhibited widely in the UK and in Europe, and is held in a number of collections, including the V & A, London.

Amanda sells her photographic prints through exhibition and galleries, her current work Tidal Reach explores the transformative effect of the tide and the endlessly changing light, on the mudflats and sandbanks of the North Somerset coast. The resulting images are a series of closely observed, muted and pared down compositions that explore the shifting relationship of beach, sea and sky. Limited edition prints from Tidal Reach can be seen at a number of venues in the South West, all prints are for sale. For more information please see Current Exhibitions and Prices.

Amanda is also available to undertake a range of commissioned work including bespoke projects for individuals, companies and designers, as well as informal and sensitive portraits for families or for organisations wishing to work closely with a photographer to achieve engaging and arresting images that reflect the values of their organisation or project.
